Every Tournament Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner Will Play After the US Open in 2025

Is the tennis world ready for the ‘Sincaraz’ era? Both Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz have been two of the most dominating figures in the tennis world over the past two years. Their Grand Slam streak began since the beginning of the 2024 season, and till date, no other player other than Sinner and Alcaraz has won a major title. In fact, this year, they had met each other in the Grand Slam finals, thrice (French Open, Wimbledon and US Open).
Since, the start of the 2024 season, Jannik Sinner or Carlos Alcaraz have now claimed the title in 16 of the 17 ATP-level events they have both appeared in, with last year’s Madrid Open being the only exception. Is Tennis in safe hands?
Well, talking about this incredible rivalry, tennis legend Chris Evert once said, “This rivalry between Alcaraz and Sinner reminds me of what Martina and I shared in our day. There are some similarities in the way we played. I was the steady, consistent one, and Martina was the one who had all the shots in the book.”
The tennis world was thrilled to see them deliver an action-packed 5 hours and 29 minutes contest at the French Open final. It was followed by similar lengthy tussles at the Wimbledon and US Open. Score is leveled at 2-2 when it comes to winning major titles in the 2025 season, but…

Carlos Alcaraz has taken a 10-5 lead in the H2H record wth his 6-2,3-6,6-1,6-4 win over the Italian in the 2025 US Open final. They are the second players in the Open Era to face each other in the final of 5+ consecutive ATP level events in which they both appeared after John McEnroe and Ivan Lendl. Tennis bigwig, Todd Woodbridge asked the Spaniard to take a long break after his recent US Open success. If we go by the numbers, Alcaraz has already played 67 matches this season, while Sinner has played just 42 matches. Although, Carlos Alcaraz has recently pulled out his name from the Davis Cup qualifiers against Denmark, still there is a plenty of action left for the Spaniard in this season.
What’s next for Carlos Alcaraz?
With his win against Sinner, Alcaraz became the first player (since US Open’s switch to hard courts in 1978) to win multiple Grand Slam titles on three surfaces before turning 23. After securing his sixth major title, the first thing he did was to heap praise on his rival who had always pushed him to chase excellence. “I wanna start with Jannik. It’s unbelievable what you’re doing during the whole season. Great level every tournament you’re playing. I’m seeing you more than my family,” said Alcaraz. He not only clinched the US Open title from Sinner, but also took away his number one crown. So, now the challenge for him will be to retain that and for that he needs to do well in the rest of the tournaments as well.
Tournament | Date |
Laver Cup | 19-21 September |
Japan Open | 24-30 Septemeber |

Six Kings Slam | 15-18 October |
Paris Masters | 27 October-2 November |

Carlos Alcaraz continues to go from strength to strength each year, and surely he will push for more in the rest of this season. He has already won seven titles this season, while it’s just two for Jannik Sinner (in 2025). How does the rest of the season lines up for the Italian, though?
Jannik Sinner’s upcoming tournaments in 2025
Jannik Sinner became the fourth man in the Open Era to reach all four Grand Slam finals in a single season. But he found success only in two of those events (AO, Wimbledon). After losing the US Open final to Carlos Alcaraz, he had no hesitation to admit, “You were better than me.” But there is a plenty of scope for him now to work on his weaknesses and end the year on the highest note.
Recently, he confirmed his participation at the Vienna Open by saying, “I’m happy to announce that I’ll be back in the Stadthalle in October. It’s a very special tournament, I like the city, and of course, the tournament…” Where else, he’ll probably be seen in action, though?
Tournament | Date |
China Open | September 22 |
Shanghai Masters | September 29 |
Six Kings Slam | October 15 |
Vienna Open | October 20 |
Paris Masters | October 27 |
ATP Finals | November 9 |

Previosly while talking about Sinner, Alcaraz admitted, “I need him on the tour because, I mean, he pushes me to be a better player and give 100% every day, to be better.” Even Jannik Sinner shares a similar thought about the Spaniard. This is exactly what makes this rivalry even more interesting and the tennis world are currently enjoying every bit of it. As things stand, we could possibly see some more matchup between the two in the upcoming tournaments in 2025. How excited are you to see them face each other alteast one more time in this season?
