Xbox Game Pass Starter Edition Will Be Part of Discord Nitro, Per Reports

New reports indicate that collaboration between Xbox and Discord is expected in the coming days. This time, in addition to smoothing out the communication system for players, Xbox Game Pass is coming to Discord as part of Discord Nitro.
According to various reports from The Verge and Insider Gaming, Xbox is once again partnering up with Discord to provide Game Pass accessibility to Discord Nitro subscribers.
CEO of Xbox Asha Sharma has also teased a partnership via X, stating, "For years, Xbox and @discord have worked together to make it easier for players to connect, chat, and play across devices. We're teaming up again as we continue to make Game Pass more flexible for our players. Some of you might start to see some code in the wild, and we will share more details with you all soon!"
Furthermore, as per reports, two leaks have surfaced online regarding the partnership. The first leak comes from X user and dataminer, rephx. The post showed codenames ‘Triton’ and ‘Duet’ for Game Pass tiers. The dataminer also stated, "A lot of 3rd party games join the TRITON program, so it no longer has 1st party games only."
Another leak, as reported by Insider Gaming, comes from an X account, DiscordPreviews. The post mentioned, "Discord Nitro ($9.99) Subscribers can soon enjoy free access to Xbox Game Pass (Starter Edition)."
The tweet also mentioned that the Starter Edition will include 10 hours of cloud game streaming per month and various Xbox rewards, and that the pack will feature over 50 Xbox Game Pass titles.
Xbox has been shifting gears since Asha Sharma took over as CEO.
Xbox's Recent Platform and Pricing Changes
Xbox has made several player-focused changes since Asha Sharma took over. Recently, Xbox lowered the prices of its Xbox Game Pass tiers, with the Ultimate tier now available at $22.99 per month, down from $29.99. Also, the PC Game Pass is now available for $13.99 per month.
Additionally, instead of perpetuating the ongoing console wars, Xbox has gone a step further by allowing its exclusives, like Forza Horizon, to reach PlayStation players as well. This allows PlayStation players to access certain Xbox exclusives without purchasing an Xbox console.
Moreover, Xbox is making efforts to make gaming as inclusive as possible, with features like cross-platform gaming and making the Xbox UI available on as many devices as possible outside the console.
